Paul Ridyard produces and presents The Hulme Tune on ALL FM 96.9 which broadcasts bi-weekly on a Thursday from 10-11am. Paul says, “It’s my pleasure to present this unique community radio show.” He joined the ALL FM 96.9 volunteer staff in December 2006.
The first Hulme Tune went out pre-recorded January 2007 and went live a month after that.”
Paul was born in Bolton and used to listen to Radio One and Piccadilly Radio 263. When he was 19, he moved to Leigh (Wigan) where he joined the hospital radio Metro team at Leigh Infirmary.
Later he moved to South Manchester and then to Hulme. He trained at Radio Regen, MANCAT, in 2004 and joined the British Red Cross in 2006. In 2007, he was asked by MCIN to be a Community Reporter for the website www.mymanchester.net.
Now his brainchild “The Hulme Tune” is broadcasting bi-weekly on ALL FM 96.9. His show is not funded and everything comes out of his own pocket. Paul adds, “Its a labour of love. If you want to chase your dreams you got to sacrifice at times.”
